Surrey Tomcc BBQ and Bike Show 7th July 2011
Nor the intermittent rain or windy conditions stopped a great evenings entertainment tonight at the Surrey Triumph Owners Motorcycle Clubs annual BBQ and Bike show held at the King William IV in West Horsley. A great turn out from the Surrey Branch and we were joined by a number of our friends from the Mighty South London branch and Northants (one chap came as far away as Petersfield to join us - a real commendable effort) - apart from a shower for around 15 minutes the rain for the most part held back allowing the Bike Show and BBQ to take place.
Some exceptional machines on show tonight - Two categories for best machines were up for grabs - but as is usual there can only be one winner in the sections available - Best Hinckley and Best Meridan - the winners received hand made Trophies to mark the occasion - these made by Harry Smith and can be seen in the photos below.
The raffle was run by Brett Pope whose efforts conducting proceeding quite rightly earned him the title of 'Dip Stick Of The Year' :-) Everyone enjoyed the evening - the BBQ was excellent and all the Cakes made by my daughter were eagerly snapped up and devoured - once again Sandy our chairman only managed to eat four in rapid succession - amazing !!!!
